Anywhere

Daydream took place
in attempt of a lucid adventure
It typically showed unannounced
made itself feel at home
gently demanding to stay

And so I carefully shut
the door to a world full of stillness and grace
and I stay one more day in the room I never left

And how I wish that we could share
This one holy moment together
But let’s be clear
Though I may may seem near
I am only physically here

And so I might as well be anywhere
That’s where I am
That’s when I am somewhere
My homeland

Seems like anywhere is everywhere
as it’s following me to the tops of the trees
and it helps me forget where I am
when all that I want is remembering
to allow my ears and my eyes and my nose
to convince my mind to forget all he knows
and then maybe
Just this once
be at one place at a time

instead of always being anywhere
that’s where I am
that’s when I am somewhere
my homeland
